Anzac cookies

Our task was to enjoy the Language experience of baking, then documenting the process in a procedural text (recipe).

We had fun working together to measure the ingredients (we sneakily added extra golden syrup) and follow the steps in sequence to produce our wonderful tasting anzac biscuits.  We had two ovens going so that we could enjoy our hard work with Milk after lunchtime.

We are still publishing our recipes and will add them under the Literacy tab once complete.  Here are a few photos of the experience:

Te Tahawai Marae

In Week 4, we had the absolute pleasure of visiting Te Tahawai Marae as part of our Language and Arts rotation in the Senior School.

The students learnt many things about Maori culture and participated in activities to enrich their knowledge.
